Nick Cave ha recopilado una lista de sus cincuenta libros favoritos después de que en su sitio web Red Hand Files, un seguidor lo desafiara a elaborar la lista.
En respuesta a la petición Cave contestó: “Normalmente, para responder a esta pregunta, simplemente iría a mis estanterías y elegiría cuarenta libros. Sin embargo, mis estanterías están completamente vacías… los más de 5000 libros que he acumulado a lo largo de los años han sido enviados a la Biblioteca Real Danesa de Copenhague. Ahora forman parte de la alucinante exposición Stranger Than Kindness”.
Cave continuó explicando: «Sin mi biblioteca frente a mí, es un poco difícil armar una lista completa de mis cuarenta libros más queridos. Lo mejor que puedo hacer es reunir una bolsa de títulos bastante irregular e incoherente que me viene a la mente en este momento que, por una razón u otra, he amado a lo largo de los años».
